Privacy Notice
This page explains, in plain language, how TurnBackClock Memory Companion handles your information.
What information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your first name, email address, and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your actual password). When you save a memory, we store whatever you choose to enter — such as a title, date, time, location, and notes.
Why we collect it
We use your first name and email to identify your account and let you log in and, if needed, reset your password. We store your memories so you can retrieve, search, and manage them whenever you sign in.
Your memories are private to you
Every memory you save is tied to your account, and the application only ever shows you memories that belong to you. Site administrators can see account-level details (such as your name, email, and how many memories you've saved) and aggregate statistics across all users, but do not view the content of individual memories — titles, notes, dates, or locations — as part of normal operation.
Occasional emails
At signup, and any time afterward in your Account settings, you can choose whether you'd like to receive occasional emails about the app and about TurnBackClock. This is entirely optional and off by default unless you check the box yourself. If you opt in, the site owner may include your name and email in an export used to send those emails. You can opt out again at any time from your Account settings, and we do not share your email with anyone outside of sending these messages ourselves.
We do not sell your information
We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or other third parties.
A note about sensitive information
Please avoid storing passwords, banking PINs, credit card numbers, or other highly sensitive security information in your memories. This tool is intended for everyday reminders and information, not for storing your most sensitive credentials.
Deleting your account and data
You may delete your account at any time from the Account page. When you do, your account and every memory associated with it are permanently deleted from our database.
Questions
If you have questions about your privacy or your data, please contact the site owner through TurnBackClock.com.
